New blow to Alberta cannabis industry as SNDL shutters Olds grow operation

Calgary-based cannabis producer and retailer SNDL has closed its Olds growing operation, ending one of the original chapters in the province’s pot industry.
It’s also the latest blow to a cannabis industry in Alberta plagued by debt, government restrictions, competition from the illicit sector and what it calls over-taxation.
